Digital Mindfulness

Technology often gets a bad rap: it's said to be destorying our brains, invading our privacy, and taking over our lives. I'd like to share with you some ways that tech is trying to make amends: through digital mindfulness.

As I mentioned before, mindfulness is the process of being in the moment, and training the brain to "stop and smell the roses". Throwing the word digital in front of that seems like an oxymoron, akin to jumbo shrimp - however there are a growing number of pyschologists, behaviour therapists, doctors and researchers who are harnessing the power of technology, and using all of it's negative drawbacks to score one for the good guys!
